Police assist in rescue efforts after structural collapse in Jacobs

Earlier this afternoon Members from Durban #SearchAndRescue along with #K9SAR, Durban Fire and Rescue and RescueCare Paramedics were called out to Chamberlain Road in Jacobs following a Structural Collapse.

A wall and concrete deck collapsed onto a truck at a construction site trapping 3 people below the rubble. The first victim’s body was recovered after an hour long Rescue Operation using hydraulic tools.

All role players are continuing to work on extracting the remaining victims.
