Two people were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in plummeted down an embankment on Armstrong Avenue in La Lucia last night.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out by residents reporting the incident. Upon arrival Reaction Officers found the South African Police and a private ambulance service on scene. A VW Golf 7 GTi was found several metres down an embankment.
It was established that as the driver proceeded down Armstrong Avenue he lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road and down the embankment. The driver and a female occupant were injured in the accident and had to be transported to hospital for medical attention.
The vehicle was extensively damaged in the accident.
