Uitenhage – Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide, after a hit and run accident claimed the life of a pedestrian in Uitenhage today.
On Sunday, 1 April 2018 around 03:00, it is alleged that a blue Volkswagen Up that was travelling in Caledon Street, Uitenhage towards the direction of Despatch hit a pedestrian after which the driver failed to stop. A pedestrian, Rowan De Vos (31) from Gerald Smith in Uitenhage died at the scene.
Police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Aretha Sam at 041 996 4500 or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
