A woman who is 5 months pregnant was run over by the driver of a Toyota Corolla on Oakford Road near Redcliffe.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by the public requesting medical assistance for the pedestrian. Upon arrival she was found to have sustained a fracture to her leg. She was stabilised on scene before being transported to Osindisweni Hospital. According to the pedestrian she had just got off a taxi and was on her way to the Redcliffe Clinic for a medical examination when she was run over.
The 18-year-old driver of the Toyota Corolla was not injured in the accident.
