A 35-year-old man is in a serious condition after he shot himself during a domestic dispute on Madrona Drive in Trenance Park – Verulam a short while ago.
At approximately 19:03 members of Reaction Unit South Africa was called out to the scene to render medical assistance for the injured man. Upon arrival Medics found that the man had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest which exited through his back. He was stabilised on scene before being transported to hospital.
It is alleged that the couple was involved in an argument when the man drew his licenced firearm and shot himself in an attempt to commit suicide.
