Drugs confiscated during RSA/Namibia Border operation

The RSA/NAMIBIA cross border operation yielded positive results when drugs worth more than R20 000 was confiscated.

The operation started yesterday and the drugs including mandrax tablets, dagga, tik and hydro were confiscated at Steinkopf and Pella.

One suspect was arrested at Pella for possession of dagga.

The other drugs were found abandoned and investigations continue.

Nine illegal nets, 3 long line, 1 fibreglass canon, 1 fluent canon, inflatable canon and 783 dried fish were confiscated.
The confiscated items are estimated to value about R8000.

The Management of the SAPS in the Northern Cape applauded the good work by members from Border Police, POP, Crime Intelligence, K9 , Detectives, VISPOL.
