A crime intelligence-driven operation yielded successes when six suspects were arrested in Itsoseng in the afternoon on Monday afternoon, 11 June 2018.
Provincial Stock Theft Task Team and police in Itsoseng, acting on a tip-off, went to a house in Itsoseng where they conducted a search. During the search, six pieces of elephant tusks, with an estimated street value of R1 million and 92 pill containers, containing Antiretrovirals (ARVs) were found and confiscated.
The Provincial Commissioner of North West, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane commended the members for their cooperation that resulted in the arrest and confiscation of the tusks and medication.
