Suspect arrested in Lwandle with drugs valued at R3 million

Partnership policing can be an effective tool to eradicate crime in our communities, as indicated by the arrest of a 25 year old female late last night in Lwandle for being in possession of drugs. Members of Lwandle police received a tipoff from the community about drug related activities in Vukayi Street Lwandle. They approached the residence with a search warrant, which led to the confiscation of tik and mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R 3 million. The suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs and she is scheduled to make a court appearance in Strand once she has been charged.

The Provincial Commissioner of the Western Cape, Lt Gen KE Jula commended the members on the arrest and thanked the local community for their willingness to assist police to fight crime.
