Five people were left injured this evening following a two-vehicle collision on the N3 highway near the Cato Ridge in the Cato Ridge area, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 18h30 to find the two vehicles in the left-hand lane of the highway.
Upon assessment, paramedics discovered that one woman had sustained serious injuries while four others, including two children, had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured woman with pain-relief medication. Once treated, ER24 transported the patients to Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg for further treatment.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
