Shortly after 4 pm, Netcare 911 responded to an aircraft crash near the Wonderboom Airport in Pretoria.
On arrival, Netcare 911 and other emergency medical services attended to approximately 20 people with injuries ranging from minor to critical. Unfortunately one of the passengers subsequently died on the scene. Netcare 911 helicopters and 1 other service were on scene to airlift patients to the hospital for further medical care. The remainder of the patients were treated on scene and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals by various services.
The exact circumstances surrounding this incident were not yet known to our paramedics.
