Car Guard Appreheneded For Theft in Verulam, KZN

A car guard operating on Wick Street in the Verulam CBD was apprehended after he stole a wallet yesterday.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were intially called out by the victim who stated that he had parked his vehicle opposite First National Bank. He then entered a pharmacy and realised that he dropped his wallet. When he returned to his vehicle noticed the car guard fleeing down Wick Street.

A second car guard informed him that the man is a known heroine addict and he witnessed him picking up the wallet. A search was conducted for the car guard however he could not be located.

Several hours later the suspect returned to his spot to guard vehicles when he was apprehened by employess of a car wash who were present when the victim was attempting to locate him.

The victim was contacted and upon arrival the suspect was handed over to SAPS Verulam.
