Taxi rollover leaves eight injured in Mariannhill

Eight people were left injured yesterday afternoon following a taxi rollover on a rural road in the informal settlement in Mariannhill, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16h00 to find the taxi on the side of the road. Vehicle recovery services had already pushed the vehicle upright.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found several people walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that eight had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
