Three people were killed last night following a head-on collision between a truck and light motor vehicle on the N5 outside of Kestell in the Free State.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 19h00 to find the Provincial Services already in attendance.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found a truck and light motor vehicle in the middle of the road. The light motor vehicle was found partially crushed beneath the front of the truck.
Three bodies were found lying trapped inside the light motor vehicle. Unfortunately, the patients already succumbed to their injuries. Nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead by Provincial Services.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet k own but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
