Three suspects arrested for possession of Rhino horns

A joint operation by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigating Unit and the Stock Theft Unit has led to the arrest of three suspects, aged between 27 and 47, for alleged possession of rhino horns.

The trio was arrested in Kimberley yesterday, outside a local shopping complex after two rhino horns valued at approximately R125 0000 were recovered from their vehicle.
The three suspects are expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on Thursday to face charges of illegal possession of rhino horns.
