A Hyundai i10 overturned after the driver avoided an oncoming vehicle in Coniston, Verulam – KZN a short while ago.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by passing motorists reporting the incident. Upon arrival the vehicle was found lying on its side. The driver suffered minor injuries and refused hospital treatment.
He explained that while travelling towards his home he avoided a vehicle that suddenly veered onto his lane. The vehicle he avoided drove off without stopping.
Residents in the area complained that due to the number of potholes on that particular stretch of road drivers were forced to travel on the oncoming lane to avoid damage to their vehicles.
