Police appeal for information that can assist in tracing parents of a 4-year-old girl

The police in Polokwane have opened a case of child neglect after a four-year-old toddler was found wandering about alone in the Polokwane Mall. The little girl was found alone on 08 June 2017 next to the ablution facility of the mall. The discovery was made by a concerned member of the public. Since her discovery, no case of a missing person was ever laid at any of our police stations.

The Police were then informed and immediately started attempting to trace the parents; using the names provided by the little girl. She calls herself Amo, her mother Kabelo and grandmother Anna. The girl does not know where she resides. All attempts to trace them did not yield any results. The little girl is currently being taken care of by officials at Polokwane Place of Safety.

Anyone with information that can assist in locating the little girl’s parents is requested to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Shilajwe at 073 082 9714, Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or nearest police station.
