Duduzile Nxele Appointed as Ford Corporate Communications Manager for South Africa and SSA

Ford Motor Company today announced that Duduzile Nxele has been appointed as the Corporate Communications Manager for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, effective 1 October 2018.

Although she is new to the full-time position in the South African Ford Communications team, Nxele has played a central role in coordinating the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes for the past two years.

Nxele was extensively involved in establishing the Ford Resource and Engagement Centre (FREC) in South Africa in 2016, which assists people from the Mamelodi community with training, skills development and finding job opportunities.

In January 2017, she was appointed to manage the Ford Motor Company Fund’s wide-ranging CSR initiatives in South Africa and across the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Previously she worked for global IT consulting firms, including Accenture and International Data Corporation. Nxele holds a BTech degree in Economics from the Tshwane University of Technology.

“We are delighted to welcome Dudu in her new role, although she is already an integral part of the Ford family,” says Rella Bernardes, General Manager, Communications, at Ford Motor Company Sub-Saharan Africa Region. “Dudu brings great energy and enthusiasm to the team, and her combination of corporate and CSR backgrounds will be a great asset in this exciting period for Ford.”

As Corporate Communications Manager, Nxele will be responsible for Internal and External communications including the media and public relations relating to Ford’s manufacturing and business operations across the SSA region. She will also continue managing the company’s far-reaching CSR portfolio that includes the FREC, Ford Wildlife Foundation, Ford Enactus College Community Challenge, the annual Ford Global Caring Month and Ford Driving Skills for Life.
