Hijackers open fire on victim in Tongaat

The public is requested to be on the lookout for a white VW Jetta 5 with temporary registration plates NT 35517 P.

The vehicle was hijacked in Fairbreeze Drive – Tongaat a short while ago. According to the victim he noticed four vehicles parked on the roadside outside his home as he drove into his driveway. He was approached by four suspects who produced firearms and hijacked him of his vehicle.

The suspect fired two shots before they sped off in his vehicle followed by the four vehicles that were parked on the roadside. The victim was not injured in the shooting. One spent 9mm cartridge was recovered at the scene.
