The South African Police Service in Polokwane have embarked on an anti-crime awareness campaign covering the inner city and the surroundings suburbs including the industrial area.
The station Corporate Communications and the Social Crime prevention members led the initiative. Members interacted with the community about crime tendencies and further distributed pamphlets with safety tips to prevent various crimes including robbery, theft and fraud.
Meanwhile the Waterval Saps outside Makhado, hosted a community policing partnership session.
The session was attended by the Communication Officer, the Social Crime prevention members accompanied by the Sector 2 manager including the Community Police Forum at the Police Station conference hall.
The objective was to strengthen the partnership between these two parties and plan for the festive season period.
