Off duty Police Constable arrests one suspect and recovers stolen property

King William’s Town: An off-duty Constable stationed at King William’s Town SAPS followed up on information received last night, 03 October 2018 resulting in the arrest of a suspect aged 26 who was allegedly involved in a robbery where plasma televisions were taken from a truck in Walker Street, King William’s Town. The suspect was arrested in town and taken to Ginsberg Township where they recovered one plasma television (Hisense 39 inch).

Two more plasma televisions were also recovered around town which were allegedly stolen in a housebreaking case.

The suspect will appear in the King William’s Town Magistrate Court later this week on a charge of robbery.

The King William’s Town Acting Cluster Commander Colonel Nomonde Mene thanked Constable Andile Zenzile for his dedication and commitment in fighting crime. She commended the member for his sterling efforts and ensuring that the suspect is behind bars and property is recovered.

“I thank the community for sharing valuable information that has led to this arrest and recovery”, she added.
