Long known as the leading brand for hard-core off-road enthusiasts, in this tyre the brand continued to embed cutting edge technologies that improve climbing, traction and toughness in the mud and over rock.
The Mud Terrain T/A® KM3 is a must-have for serious off-road enthusiasts and is an update to the KM2 tyre. The Mud Terrain T/A® KM3 easily negotiates all off-road terrain, from mud to rock to loose soil. It has 5% better traction in mud thanks to its Terrain-Attack track design. It boasts massive tread blocks that are designed to deliver incredible grip from any angle or approach. The tyre’s traction-armour sidewall sculpture boosts traction capabilities in mud and soft soil thanks to a notched shoulder design. Its mud-phobic bars release compacted mud for enhanced traction in muddy and soft soil conditions.
In dealing with varying off-road terrain, the Mud Terrain T/A® KM3 has extreme sidewall rubber that provides pinch shock resistance and chip-and-tear resistance especially for gravel roads. The sidewalls are 27% tougher due to CoreGard Max, a race-proven innovation derived from the BFGoodrich® Baja T/A® KR3 desert-racing tyre line. This technology helps prevent splitting or puncturing with increased thickness that protects the critical sidewall failure zone. Its thicker extended shoulder rubber goes deep into the critical sidewall failure zone and the advanced deflection design prevents hazards from snagging and splitting the sidewall. This ensures not just great performance but also durability and a longer shelf life.
The tyre’s performance in climbing is exceptional. It has a Linear Flex Zone that allows the tyre to flex and envelop objects at reduced inflation. It features massive trade blocks that provide stable foundation in rocky conditions and the Krawl-TEK Compound enhances grip on rock and other slick surfaces.
On the road, the Mud Terrain T/A® KM3 is a solid performer. It has reduced noise levels that make for a pleasant and comfortable on-road drive.
The Mud Terrain T/A® KM3 is available in Southern Africa at leading tyre outlets, in 15- through 22-inch rim diameters, and will have the best coverage of the 17- to 20-inch rim diameter market, the largest segment in this tyre category.
