Two suspects nabbed with counterfeit notes in Isipingo

Members of Umlazi K9 were doing foot patrol, when they noticed a red vehicle trying to do a u- turn after seeing the police members. The police members were able to stop the Corsa vehicle, which had two occupants. Upon searching the vehicle, the members found a safe with counterfeit notes inside. The counterfeit notes were valued at R485, 300. The two suspects aged 30 and 32 were arrested and detained at Isipingo SAPS.
Brigadier Vukani Mgobhozi, Acting Ethekwini Outer South Cluster Commander said, “I am very pleased to know these criminals were arrested and have been removed from the streets. This should send a clear message to all the criminals out there that our police members are very vigilant and will leave no stone unturned.”
