Victim stabbed in the face during a robbery in Phoenix

A 38 year old man was seriously injured after he was repeatedly stabbed in the face during a robbery in Phoenix.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene after a passerby found the man bleeding excessively from his face. Upon arrival it was established that the victim was on his way home to Stanger – North of Durban after he finished working nightshift when he was accosted by two suspects who were armed with knives.

The robbers demanded that he hand over his cash & valuables. During the robbery one of the suspects repeatedly stabbed the victim in the face before they fled with his cellphone. The kitchen knife used in the attack broke in half and was dropped at the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspects however they still remain at large.
