MEC Kaunda hosts World AIDS Day Commemoration in Ulundi

MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mxolis Kaunda, Deputy Mayor of Ulundi, Cllr TG Madela, Deputy Mayor Cllr B Mthembu, HOD for Health, Dr. Musa Gumede and other stakeholders participated in a safety walk and blitz at Ulundi to convey the importance of safety ahead of the festive season and in commemoration of World Aids Day.

The safety walk commenced from the Ward 3 Fitness Park to the shopping centre to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS.

The MEC also handed over a vehicle to Siyazama Nazareth Community
Garden cooperative based at KwaNongoma for them to easily transport
goods to nearby retailers and developments. At the main event he also lit a candle in remembrance of those who have passed or living with HIV and AIDS.
