A woman was hospitalised after jumping off a bridge in Amanzimtoti

A woman, believed to be in her 60s, was hospitalised after she jumped off the Adams Road bridge above the N2 in Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h25 to find the elderly woman lying in the scene median next to the Armco barriers.

Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained only moderate injuries and was in a stable condition. The woman was treated and thereafter transported to a nearby provincial hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
