It is alleged that an 81-year-old woman who lived alone at the new RDP houses at Section G Needs Camp, East London, died after her house burnt. According to a neighbour she saw the victim’s house in flames in the early hours of this morning.
The neighbour called other neighbours who all attempted to extinguish the flames but all was in vain.
The charred remains of the elderly woman was retrieved from the gutted home. The cause of the fire is unknown. Inquest docket has been opened for investigation.
