East London K9 Unit members were patrolling around Dawn Wilsonia when they spotted three males with heavy bags. With the assistance of an off-duty member from East London SAPS, they went to investigate and inspected the bags.
Upon searching the bags, copper wire weighing 20kg was recovered. Two suspects ran away leaving the bags unattended however police managed to chase and successfully arrest a 39-year-old male suspect for Possession of Suspected Stolen Property.
The suspect will appear in the East London Magistrate’s Court on 2019-02-15.
