Shortly after midday (Saturday) RUSA Members were called out to a hair pin bend leading off the north bound lane of the R102 into Phoenix – KZN after receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival a Toyota Corolla was found down an embankment. The driver explained that he was unfamiliar with the area as he resided in Inanda. He failed to negotiate the sharp bend which resulted in the vehicle leaving its path of travel before it crashed into a bush several meters below an embankment.
The driver was not injured in the accident.
