Man arrested for possession and dealing in drugs – Mdantsane

The SAPS takes the fight against drugs and drug abuse very seriously, this is demonstrated by swift swoop in a house at NU6, Mdantsane in the early hours today. Mdantsane OCC members conducted an intelligence driven operation after receiving information about the activities in this house.

On entering and searching the premises, over 900 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R50 000-00 were recovered and a man in his 40s was arrested and will be charged with possession and dealing in drugs. He will appear before the Mdantsane magistrate’s court soon.

The Mdantsane Acting Cluster Commander, Brigadier Marinda Mills has praised the swift action of these members and has reassured our community that we will not falter in our quest to rid our streets of drugs as they destroy the lives of young people.
