Three suspects arrested for possession of stolen property worth R200 000 in Parow

This morning members attached to the Provincial Command Centre and K9 Unit arrested three suspects for possession of stolen property, after responding to information of alleged stolen poultry that was to be delivered at a premises in Parow.
At approximately 11:30, members arrived at a panel shop in Matthew Street, Parow and conducted a search of the premises. Numerous 1.5 kilogram bags of frozen chicken portions were recovered on the premises. According to an invoice found the products (508 bags) are valued at R200 000. Investigations revealed that a delivery vehicle was hi-jacked in the early hours of this morning at the corners of Klipfontein at Jakes Gerwel Roads, Athlone, but was not on the premises on their arrival. 
However, an Opel Corsa utility vehicle was found on the premises and investigations revealed that the vehicle was hijacked in Parow during December 2018. As investigations continues more charges can be added. 
Three men, aged 29, 40 and 49 respectively were arrested on charges of possession of stolen property and are due to appear in court once charged.
