MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison,Mr Mxolisi Kaunda today officially opened P49 in Nongoma.P49 Road provides strategic links between Kwa Nongoma and Vryheid. The Road is 23.8 Kilometresin length. The Department invested R311 million in upgrading the road from gravel to blacktop.
MEC Kaunda was accompanied by Nongoma Local Municipality Deputy Mayor Cllr Nokubekezela Xulu, SANTACO Provincial Secretary Mr Petros Manqele and other VIPs to the opening.
Thereafter, a community engagement was held with members of the Nongoma community.
