Gauteng: Security officer injured in hit and run.

Gauteng: At 21H43 Saturday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the corners of 12th Avenue and Wessel Street in Edenburg, Sandton.

Reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision.

An adult male security officer sustained moderate injuries in the collision and was treated on scene by medics.

The occupants of the second car had absconded the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.

The patient was transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.
