Search operation for missing child in Delportshoop intensified

Members of SAPS Search & Rescue Unit, K9 Unit, Corporate Communication, Provincial FCS Unit, Mounted Unit and community members continue with the search of a reported missing 2-year-old child, who was reported to have been snatched by a man who attempted to rape her mother on Saturday, 21 April 2019.
The child has not been found yet and the SAPS team intensified the search.
However, the suspect appeared briefly before the Barkly West Magistrates’ Court today, on four accounts of attempted rape, house breaking with intend to steal, house breaking with intend to assault and kidnapping.
He has been remanded in police custody, as he will be applying for legal aid assistance tomorrow.
