The Provincial Commissioner taking a lead in the #SchoolSafety programs in Limpopo

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba accompanied by the Station Commander of Lebowakgomo Colonel Kgwedi, the Station Communication Officer Captain Leshilo and the Social Crime Prevention members, have taken the school safety program to the highest level.

The campaign was conducted on Friday the 17th May 2019 conducted by the Provincial Commissioner and his team at Makurung Primary School in Ga-Mphahlele village in the Lebowakgomo Policing area outside Polokwane.

During this campaign, the Provincial Commissioner addressed learners on the following items:

* Peer pressure and wrongful friendship.
* The danger of having criminal record.
* Bullying
* Carrying of dangerous weapons in and around the learning environment.
* Disrespecting of teachers contributes to bullying.
The General has also encouraged teachers to report any illegal activities in and around the school to the Police immediately.
