A 34-year-old man was left seriously injured this afternoon following a three-vehicle collision on the N3 northbound highway in Cato Ridge, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene at 13h26 to find the three vehicles in the right-hand lane.
On closer inspection, paramedics found a 34-year-old man seated inside his vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his back. The man was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Edendale Provincial Hospital by another service, under the supervision of an ER24 advanced life support paramedic.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
