Woman killed in a crash in Canelands

A woman was fatally injured after her vehicle left its path of travel and crashed into a tree on Vincent Dickinson Road in Canelands.

At approximately 20:52 members of Reaction Unit South Africa arrived at the scene after receiving a call from a motorist reporting the accident. A Seat Ibiza was found a few meters down an embankment on the opposite side of the road. The female driver who was the only occupant in the vehicle was found to have sustained life threatening injuries and died at the scene. The 40 year old woman was traveling to her residence in Ndwedwe at the time of the crash.
