Son arrested for theft from dad in Verulam

The two men aged 24 & 28 (pictured) were arrested by members of Reaction Unit South Africa after they stole valuables from a property nearly a week ago on Antelope Place in Mountview – Verulam.

Yesterday (Tuesday) Reaction Officers were called out to an unrelated case on Antelope Place where the two men were seen entering a property. The caller explained that the two Indian males were known drug users who used to reside in the area. The caller believed that they were going to break into the home.

Upon arrival RUSA Members found that both suspects had fled empty handed from the property. Residents in the area complained that the cousins had become a nuisance since they started abusing drugs.

It was also established that the father of one of the suspects had registered a criminal case against the two after they stole valuables from his property last week. Reaction Officers went in search of the suspects and apprehended them on Amora Drive. Police confirmed that both suspects were being sought.

The two were detained at the Verulam SAPS.
