Woman pistol-whipped and robbed by 3 armed suspects in Isipingo Hills

A woman was pistolwhipped and sustained a head injury after she and a male who were parked on Lotus Road in Isipingo Hills were accosted by 3 armed suspects a short while ago.
Alpha Alarms Response units responded to the scene after calls for assistance were received.
It is alleged that the duo, believed to be catering crew from Phoenix, were searching for an address when the traumatic ordeal unfolded.
According to the victims the three suspects approached them and demanded their belongings.
One suspect had a firearm and assaulted the woman on her head whilst one suspect brandished a knife.
The suspects grabbed the woman’s handbag containing her wallet and cellphone and fled.
A search for the suspects resulted in no arrests.
Alpha Alarms members tried tracking the cellphone which last updated on Gokul Road but was then switched off.
Ambulance was on scene to treat the injured victim.
SAPS was alerted of the incident.
Isipingo Hills CPF members and concerned locals are thanked for their assistance on scene as well as emergency service in attendance.
Alpha Alarms urges visitors and locals to be vigilant and keep car doors and windows secured when stationery.
Marauding criminals are on the prowl and are ready to strike at free will.
Please refrain from loitering on the streets or flashing cellphones as you become easy prey for suspects.
