Impoverished pensioner robbed of sugar and cash at knifepoint in Isipingo CBD

An impoverished ailing pensioner was the latest victim of three prowling armed robbers who accosted him at knifepoint and stole his packet of sugar and cash before fleeing in the Isipingo CBD, a short while ago.
Thankfully the victim was unharmed in the attack but was visibly traumatised following the incident which occurred at the notorious spot at the corner of Inwabi Road and Thomas Lane in the Isipingo CBD.
The victim’s wife spoke to Alpha Alarms and pleaded for more patrols in the area as she said the crime is getting worse day by day.
The distressed wife said that as an elderly couple who live on their meagre pensions where every cent counts for them, it is heartbreaking to lose their groceries and cash in this way.
She said that her husband together with scores of other victims have been attacked and robbed at the notorious spot where a few weeks ago, a murder occurred, as well.
The victim and his wife are afraid to venture out into the CBD and are concerned about purchasing groceries as they are concerned that they will be attacked again.
Business owners are furious at the crime spike and said the rampant crime in the Isipingo CBD has deterred the patrons from shopping in the CBD whilst also causing suppliers to refuse deliveries to the area resulting in dwindling finances.
