Campaign against Human Trafficking held in Kuruman

Forming part of #WomensMonth activities, SAPS joined its investigative wing #Hawks (Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation) and Community Policing Forum (CPF) in conducting an awareness campaign in Kuruman, today, 24 August 2019.

The programme began in Kuruman and subsequently proceeded to a nearby location, Mothibistad. Community members were abundantly informed on various criminal activities and given measures to avoid being victims and platforms to report criminal acts, all this accompanied by excellent & entertaining perfomance from the SAPS band.

Lieutenant Colonel Moetsi concisely enlightened on the role the CPF plays to combat crime and other structures community members can join to effectively assist combating all forms of crime that continue to erode the safety and conscience in the society.

Lt Col Seiphetlo from Provincial Partnership office gave the purpose of the campaign.

Hawks carried out an eloquent and informative presentation on human trafficking, people were educated regarding numerous modus operandi of human traffickers and measures to avoid it.
