MEC Kaunda participates in Operation Sakuma Sakhe in Kokstad

MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Mxolisi Kaunda together with MEC for Education, Kwazi Mshengu participating in the province’s Operation Sakuma Sakhe programme in Kokstad.

Both MECs received a briefing on the functionality of the War Rooms within the area at the youth centre in Ward 5. Thereafter, they visited several different projects.

MEC Kaunda visited Luncedo Crèche to handover educational toys and then proceeded to kwaXoloxolo Primary School, which is under renovations to conduct Siyahlola of the premises.

MEC Kaunda also visited Gogo Magcaka’s home, which recently had electricity installed and handed over electrical appliances; a stove, kettle and iron as well as groceries.

Thereafter, both MECs attended a Community Engagement Meeting at the Youth Centre where the community were able to raise their concerns.
