Four armed hijackers arrested by SAPS Flying Squad

WESTERN CAPE – In pursuit of a safer environment for the Western Cape community, members of the Flying Squad were patrolling the streets of Gugulethu, when they were alerted that a vehicle was hijacked in the same area. Following a search of the area, they spotted the vehicle in Samora Machell and arrested the four occupants aged between 21 and 28. They also confiscated a 9mm pistol that was reported stolen in Scottsburgh during January last year.

Once charged, the four suspects are scheduled to make a court appearance in Athlone for the possession of an unlicensed and stolen firearm and the possession of a stolen vehicle.
