Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the R69 Louwsburg Pongola road last night at 17:30 for a motor vehicle collision.
When paramedics arrived they found two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.
The drivers of the vehicles did not sustain an injury.
Unfortunately, the passengers from both vehicles sustained serious injuries, one of which is pregnant. Both were stabilised using advanced intervention techniques and transported to hospital.
One of the passengers was later transferred to a specialized facility for more specialized care.
