SAPS and law enforcement to stamp the authority on road safety

The festive season is here and year-end functions and office parties are well underway. No one is trying to stop you from having a good time – just be responsible about doing it! Don’t drink and drive. Arrange for alternative transport: designated driver, ride-share, taxi, or public transit.

The National Safer Festive Season Operation introduced a safer festive season for all South Africans and everyone who will be visiting the country

Therefore, in reducing and minimising road fatalities, the South African Police Service in partnership with various law enforcement role players are committed to leaving no stone unturned to ensure that all road users arrive at their different destinations safely.

As the leading law enforcement agency, the SAPS’s employees remain committed to ensuring the safety of all road users, enforcing road safety to ensure that it is not compromised and the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act No 93 of 1996) is adhered to.

Stay alive over the 2019/2020 festive season and beyond. Driving under the influence and high speed kill not only you but also other innocent people.
Let us all be law-abiding road users who are eager to turn the tide against crime.
