FREE STATE – 32-year-old Novelake Lisbet Smith appeared before the Bloemfontein Magistrate court today on charges of culpable homicide and failure to report an accident within 24 hours.
The case is postponed to 11 November 2019 for a formal bail application, and she is remanded in custody.
The suspect handed herself over at Mangaung police station this morning (4 November 2019) after evading arrest for about a week.
This follows an incident that happened in the early hours of Sunday, 27 October 2019, where a local businessman Ndleleni Donvulo was fatally hit by a speeding vehicle outside a Pub in Pitso Street, Bochabela location, Mangaung, Bloemfontein.
