Two me have been killed and one injured after a single vehicle crash on the M1 Richmond Road near Marianhill in the early hours of Monday morning.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived n the scene to find the single vehicle down a steep embankment in flames. One person believed to be a passenger had managed to escape the flames and climbed up to the roadside to seek help. Whilst Paramedics treated the man the Durban Fire Department together with medics went down to the vehicle to assess. Two men were found to have sustained fatal injuries and unfortunately there was nothing more Paramedics could do and they were declared deceased at the scene. Paramedics stabilised the injured man on the scene who had sustained moderate injuries and then transported him through to a nearby Hospital for the further care that he required.
At this stage, the events leading up to the collision is unknown however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
