Murdered man found in a River in Oakford

The body of an unidentified man was discovered floating in a river in Oakford, Verulam.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at the scene. The Metro and SAPS Search & Rescue were in attendance and retrieved the body from the river. An axe believed to be the murder weapon was discovered on the river bank.

The motive for the murder has not been established at this stage.
