A 34-year-old man arrested for possession of stolen property

NORTHERN CAPE – On Sunday, 5 January 2020 at about 14:30 Kathu SAPS members arrested a 34-years-old man for being in possession of the stolen property. There was a housebreaking and theft case which was reported at Kathu police station.

After a tip-off from a member of the public, stolen items linked to the housebreaking case were recovered at a house in Kathu. Stolen properties such as cell phones, bags etc. were confiscated and suspect arrested.

The Cluster Commander of JTG Major General Johan Bean commended Kathu SAPS members for their collective approach and teamwork which enhanced them to arrest the suspect.

The suspect is expected to appear before the local Magistrates court soon.
