A young man was killed in a motorcycle collision in Vanderbijlpark

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was killed this afternoon when his motorbike struck a light motor vehicle at the Louis Trichardt and Hendrik Van Eck Boulevard intersection in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 14h11 to find the light motor vehicle just past the intersection while the motorbike and rider were found lying near the corner.

Medics assessed the biker and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
