Drug dealer arrested in Durban

DURBAN – Families and young people’s lives have been destroyed due to drugs and some people have lost their lives in the process. Each day police officers go out in numbers to combat drug dealers and to make this province a drug free zone. Operations are held on a daily bases and suspects are arrested and prosecuted. Yesterday police officers from Eshowe SAPS made sure that the law caught up with another dealer by arresting a 24-year-old man for dealing in drugs at Umlalazi in Eshowe.

Police acted on information with regards to a man who was dealing in drugs at Esiphezi in Eshowe. On arrival at the location, they found equipment used for producing drugs but the suspect was nowhere to be found. Their investigation led them to Umlalazi where the suspect was found hiding. He was arrested after he was searched and found in possession of drugs. He is set to appear at the Eshowe Magistrates Court today.

The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula commended police officers from Eshowe for the breakthrough.
